The use of top grade 3mm steel with final phospating means no bi-metal corrosion / galling between threads and protectors. Precision engineering of dies and CMC maching ensures complete thread engagement preventing protector stripping or vibrating off pipe during transport. Smoothing of edges of PSTP pressed steel protectors prevents damage to tool joint faces. Santo PSR PSTP pressed-steel thread protectors can be supplied with precision engineered rubber “o” rings.
